Since decades Human Resources is established as a function within the company and mostly only recognized as a cost factor. In addition, traditionally Human Resources is mainly transactional and reactive in attracting people, hiring people, employee management, develop employees, etc.

Human Resources continuously tries to specialize with process owners, fragmented itself with key account management and shared sources, become the business partner but in most of the cases nothing really changes. I the opposite, HR is getting more complex, the systems does not support this and HR is loosing it's the reputation.

Despite this image most of the managers mention the employee as a critical success factor, which provides Human Resources with the opportunity to show its ability to be the right strategic partner.
The mission of 21st-HR is to push and support the transformation of Human Resources to a business consultancy in order to be able to show the potential of creating value add for the company.
